C.J. Watson
Educator, striving to develop each student to critically think for themselves in the hopes of creating positively engaged citizens
Teaching is an incredible responsibility. Many people view teaching as a dead end career path. One that is a "plan B" when failing the "real" career path. For me, teaching is one of the most invigorating and challenging careers one can have.
After graduating I began pursuing a few different careers in the nonprofit industry. When that wasn't working, I left to travel for 10 months. While abroad, I was deciding what career would best combine and utilize all of my passions, and the one I kept returning to was teaching. This job is about instilling a fantastic desire to always learn. That's the beauty and the challenge of the job. My role is to help students grow and put in them a desire to continually grow and pursue what best fits their passions. And that's what I plan to do |
